Update to My life

Hello my friends in here and to all who are visiting in this page. It's been a while now that i haven't writing an update about my life. I been so busy for the past month and it's because of my visa processing. We're at the NVC process last October and I am gathering all the papers that were needed for it and also for the coming interview. And also while we are on the process at the National Visa Center, i went to manila to get done with my medical examination. It all went well and i done my interview last December 1, 2009. I got my visa last December 14, 2009 and got the flight last December 21, 2009. Now, i am finally here with my husband in Kentucky. For sure i will be more updated here from now on. Thank you for visiting and hope to see you again in this site.

Hey friends!

I haven't do any new post for a long time now. I was just busy with our visa processing, gathering documents for it and also my husband visited here in Philippines. I had a very great week with my husband. We celebrated the Iligan City fiesta together and it made me so happy! Also we are moving on our visa journey. The national visa center already sent us notice so we can start the visa processing and it's really a good news..Hope we can complete the process this year so i can be with my husband soon. Thank you for always checking my life.. Will post more for you!

Good News!

Hello to all my friends and visitors of this page. I am not here for a quiet long time again but now i am here to share you a very good news! And I am talking about the approval of our I-130 Spousal Visa petition. We just got an approval email from USCIS telling last September 9, 2009. I am very happy as it will not be long that me and my husband will be with each others arms again. Now we are still waiting for the hardcopy of the approval and then start to the National Visa Center for the next process. For those who are in the same case us ours, good luck to us and may God will guide us always...Thank you guys for visiting my page.. Have a nice day to all!

I'm Back

Hey there friends! How are you? It's almost a month now since i am not posting in this page. Though I am updated with my other blog page "not only in the philippines". Please check that page for more interesting topics about Philippines and other countries. By the way, i already have my new passport with my married name on it. My last passport was colored green and now i got the colored maroon ( the new one). I am now ready for the visa process but we are still waiting for the petition approval (NOA2). Husband is learning

I attended CFO (Commission of Filipino Overseas) seminar in Cebu City last July 15, 2009. I posted about it in my other blogsite, "not only in the philippines". The seminar is mostly counselling and warnings to all Filipino women who are going outside the country, specifically to those who are petitioned by their foreign fiancees or spouses. They told us the risks and other things to be prepared to when going abroad. I told my husband about the said counselling. I told him that the nun (who were our counselor) asked us about each petitioner that we will be living with. The nun also asked if our husband/ fiancee do ever know words and sentences in our own dialect. And she challenge us to tell our husband/fiancee to learn our dialect and she added that if a husband/ fiancee can tell a story using our own language then he is surely inlove to us...hehe.. Well, after two weeks my husband just sent me today an email, and not just an ordinary email because he is using my dialect! (bisaya). And i am so amazed and very happy and of course very proud of what he did. Though not all the words he used were the exact words to be used but it's so romantic and makes me love him so much more..But to my husband, you still need to tell me a story when you go back here in Philippines in your next visit...I love you always and forever..

I'm Back ....Again!

Wow! Been a long time since i have not posted anything here. I was so busy planning for our wedding and stuff. I went to manila to pick my fiancee (husband now) in the airport last may 3 evening. And in the morning we went to US embassy there to get legal capacity as one of the requirements for our wedding, after that we went back here in Iligan City. We did a lot of paperworks and appointments before the wedding date, and of course spent a lot of money! I will post some photos taken from the wedding later. Hey, i'm here!

It's been a long time i have not post on this page. All my attention was focus on my other blogsite "only in the philippines", hope you can visit there sometimes too. I will try my best to post new things in here for more updates on my life blog. I will start this next week since my PC is not fix yet. I have some problem with my monitor and is now still at the technician shop. Hope to get my monitor on monday after the long holiday and days that i am offline. Special Holiday for Schools

Tomorrow, February 23, 2009 is a special holiday for all the public and private schools as declared by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. This is in observance of the 23rd anniversary of the Edsa People Power Revolution.

What is EDSA?

The People Power Revolution (also known as the EDSA Revolution and the Philippine Revolution of 1986) was a series of nonviolent and prayerful mass street demonstrations in the Philippines that occurred in 1986. It is sometimes referred to as the Yellow Revolution due to the presence of yellow ribbons during the arrival of Ninoy Aquino. These protests were the culmination of a long resistance by the people against the 20-year running authoritarian regime of then current president Ferdinand Marcos and made news headlines as "the revolution that surprised the world". The majority of the demonstrations took place at Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, known more commonly by its acronym EDSA, in Quezon City, Metropolitan Manila and involved over 200,000 Filipino civilians as well as several political, military, and religious figures, such as Jaime Cardinal Sin. The protests, fueled by a resistance and opposition of years of corrupt governance by Marcos, occurred from February 22 to 25 in 1986, when Marcos fled Malacañang Palace to the United States and conceded to Corazon Aquino as President of the Philippines.

Get together

I mentioned on my other post about the forum, the world of filipinas that i am one of the member. We had a get together last day, February 16, 2008. The members who attended the said get together were from cagayan de oro city and Iligan city. One member who is also from Iligan City go with me to Xavier Estates, Cagayan de oro, where the gathering was held. We had so much fun knowing each other and sharing opinions about the forum topics and many more. I found new friends in them, though we are friends online but is not the same when you see them in person. Here are some photos captured on that day.

Today is February 14 and I want to greet everybody a happy valentine's day. Let us fill our hearts with TRUE LOVE for it is the only one that can HEAL the WORLD.

Forum

I been a member of an online forum, the world of filipinas. I found new friends online and just yesterday i met one of the member at a mall here in Iligan City. We enjoyed our meeting, we talked about some topics on the forum and also about our planned get-together. We will be having our get-together at Cagayan de Oro City with the forum members from Iligan City and also with the other members who will be back from the States with their husbands. I hope that the weather will be good on the 16th so that we will have a successful meeting.

Heart Month

Days are so fast! It was just like yesterday that we are celebrating Christmas, now is already the last day of January. Tomorrow is the first day of the Heart Month. I wish my gwapo baby is here to celebrate the coming Valentine's day. But i know my wish will come true though not this year but soon! I love you baby..

Feel the Cold...

Iligan City is still have rain shower every now and then. For the past two to three days we experienced the sunshine in the morning but then in the afternoon rainfall is there again. It is cold every afternoon till the next morning because of continuous rain. The road here near at home is so muddy. I wish tomorrow sun will shine again!

A post between two opps

Maybe bloggers already have an idea about this. But for those who are non-bloggers and to those who are new in the bloggers' world, i guess you don't understand of what i am talking about here. I am really not sure if all the sponsored post needs to have non-sponsored post in between them. Sunshine!

After more than a week of heavy rain, the sun shines today! Though it was not so hot but atleast no rainfalls. The muds on our road going home is almost dry. I hope sunny day will continue so that we can do something else other than staying inside the house and be bored.

More Rainfall

Residents in Northern Mindanao are likely to endure five more days of heavy rains. An official of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday there is a 70 percent chance that Northern Mindanao would have to endure five more days of moderate to heavy rainfall. Pagasa Officer-in-Charge Ric Ricardo also said that people living beside the river and near the coastlines should be on extra alert as the tail-end of a cold front is still in much of Northern Mindanao. The floods that hit three cities in Northern Mindanao have now affected at least 67,000 people, or more than 17,000 families, with nine persons reported missing and at least two deads, disaster councils reported late yesterday afternoon.

Black Nazarene Fiesta

The feast of the Most Holy Black Nazarene is celebrated on January 9th while novena masses begin on the first day of the year.The Black Nazarene is a life-sized, dark-colored, wooden sculpture of Jesus Christ held to be miraculous by many people, especially its Filipino devotees. Its original carver is an anonymous Aztec carpenter, and the image was transported by galleon from Mexico. The image is currently enshrined in the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila, Philippines where novena celebrations are held every Friday throughout the whole year. A Callejeron or procession of the Nazarene that was airlifted to Cagayan de Oro City was also held for the sake of Nazarene devotees in Mindanao, yesterday.Roman Catholic tradition holds that the Black Nazarene came from a boat that caught fire, turning it from its original white into black or charred complexion. The Black Nazarene is carried into the streets for procession in a "Caroza" or carriage.

Anthrax

The United States Embassy in Manila went on "anthrax alert" Wednesday after personnel noted powder in an envelope in one of the embassy's incoming mail.Radio dzBB reported early Thursday that the embassy was trying to determine who sent the envelope, even as a check by the Bureau of Fire Protection showed the packet posed no threat.According to the report, US diplomatic facilities worldwide have received 76 "suspicious" mail matters since 2006. - GMANews.TV

PGMA in Iligan City

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo once again bring the government, especially the central government, closer to the people, particularly in Northern Mindanao, as she presides over the first full Cabinet meeting for the new year yesterday at the Macaraeg-Macapagal Ancestral House in Barangay Buru-un, Timoga, Iligan City. The Cabinet meeting was originally scheduled in Molundo, Lanao del Sur, but was reset to Iligan City so the President could also visit the flood victims. On top of the agenda of the Cabinet meeting is the government's economic resiliency plan, specifically on the importance of putting in place vital infrastructures that are necessary for the country to weather the global economic crisis.The President and her Cabinet also tackle the government's comprehensive livelihood and emergency programs intended to assist the people cope with the effects of the global economic slowdown that has undeniably affected the local economy. The Mindanao peace process, particularly the Social Integration Program for Returnees, is also one of the priority matters that was discussed in the meeting. This include updates on the peace talks and development efforts as the achievement of a long-lasting peace in Mindanao remains one of the President's top priority. At 6 p.m., the President motor to the evacuation center at the Tubod Elementary School to visit some 700 families displaced by the Jan. 2 flashfloods that hit the city.

Northern Mindanao Flood

Three days of continuous heavy rains in some part of Northern Mindanao, including Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City, have caused flooding in low-lying barangays and those along riverbanks. At least 30,000 persons have already been affected by flashfloods with seven others reported missing, disaster coordinating councils said Sunday. City disaster officials updated Sunday the number of residents affected by last Saturday's flashfloods in this city alone to 5,680 families or 28,376 persons.

Rainy Days

Its raining since yesterday afternoon and became quite hard in the evening. It is nice to sleep while its raining because it makes me sleep good. Though I don't like to have rain when i wake up in the morning because it makes me weak not seeing the sun shining (lol). Or should i say it makes me become sleepy the whole day. Well, I am thankful that the rainy days just started this month because I completed my "Simbang gabi" without hard rain fall. Though it rain sometimes in December but not like as this time. As i heard on the news that coldest time in the Philippines will start weeks from mid of December until ends of January. And hoping summer time will be early March.
