While i am writing this post, i am also listening to the news from radio station here in Iligan City, they having coverage of the happenings in some towns of Lanao del Norte. Many civilians died of the attack of the MILF rebels in municipality of kolambugan, kauswagan and maigo started early dawn today. Some of the houses were burned and shot some animals like carabao and horses. Some of the people living in kauswagan area are evacuates now here in Iligan City National High School for their safety and some are at Buru-un, Fisheries School. And those from kolambugan and maigo went to Ozamis City. I am worried because my uncle, my father's youngest brother and his wife are living at Maigo. When my mother called him he said that they're still at their place and will be ready to evacuate when they can't handle it. I have friends who is living also in Maigo and they are safety already because they are at Ozamis City now. President Arroyo declared an All-out War against the MILF rebels. While the local government here in Iligan declared that there will be a curfew hour in the city starting 10pm tonight till 5am in the morning. And there will be no classes tomorrow for all students in public and private schools. Iligan City is on state of calamity because of all the things happened since yesterday. Please let us all pray for peace especially in Mindanao.
At around 5 o'clock yesterday, August 17. 2008, two improvised explosive devices went off 20 minutes apart in two budget hotels in Iligan City. At the Traveler's Inn near Lodu Building, along Cabili Ave., where three people were wounded and another exploded later at the Caprice Lodge, along Badelles St.
No group claimed responsibility for the twin blasts but the City Mayor Lawrence Lluch Cruz said that maybe this happened just to frighten the people in Iligan City. And he hopes this is not related to our disagreement to be part of the Bangsamoro Juridical Entity. As we knew that we had a protest actions against the inclusion of eight of the city’s 44 barangays among some 700 villages in Mindanao that are being considered for inclusion in the proposed Bangsamoro Juridical Entity under the government-Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) agreement. The eight barangays are Digkilaan, Dulag, Hindang, Kalilangan, Lanipao, Mainit, Panoroganan and Rogongon. The City Mayor encouraged all the people in Iligan to be always vigilant all the time. He likewise advised the public to avoid crowded places. He assure that the government can handle this.
Let us all pray for peace.
These days, for every marriage almost half ends in divorce. People no longer treat marriage as a ’till-death-do-us-part’ arrangement unlike the past. Instead when things get rough, divorce is a very viable option because a divorcee no longer faces any social stigmas associated with a failed marriage.
But if divorce is becoming rampant and marriage doesn’t mean you have to stick with a person through thick and thin, is there any more meaning to marriage? In fact, nowadays many couples just choose to live together without even bothering to get married.
So, for Love Q #:
Is the idea of marriage outdated?
>>> Marriage is very important and it is not outdated. Because i believe that the exact blessings for the couple together will be given in time that they do the holy matrimony. And it is more peace in mind living together as married couple than just live-in couple. Eventhough we cannot deny that there are a lot of divorce or separation happened, still marriage is important for me.

We have some fruit trees around the house usually at our backyard like guava, guyabano and jackfruit. Today i noticed that the jackfruit tree bearing alot of fruits and and some of it are already reaching the roots area.
I don't like this fruit very much. I like jackfruit when it roll with banana and then fry, this is what we called turon.
Last sunday, after the mass at the St. Michael's cathedral church here in Iligan City, one announcement is asking everybody to join the scheduled mass rally. This happened today, Monday, at 8 o'clock in the morning in front of the City's post office. The said rally is a protest actions against the inclusion of eight of the city’s 44 barangays among some 700 villages in Mindanao that are being considered for inclusion in the proposed Bangsamoro Juridical Entity under the government-Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) agreement. The eight barangays, however, will be part of the Bangsamoro Juridical Entity only if they vote for inclusion in the August 2009 plebiscite. The eight barangays are Digkilaan, Dulag, Hindang, Kalilangan, Lanipao, Mainit, Panoroganan and Rogongon. Officials say the land area of these barangays constitutes 87% of the city’s total land area and are reportedly not predominantly Moro. City officials said they plan to hold public assemblies in the eight villages to know the sentiments of the affected residents.
Lanao del Norte 1st district Rep. Vicente Belmonte Jr. meanwhile is expected to deliver a privilege speech in the house of Representatives to oppose the addition of eight barangays of Iligan City and other barangays under Lanao del Norte. Iligan City Mayor Lawrence Cruz said 66,502.14 hectares or 81.76 percent of Iligan lands will go to the Bangsamoro Juridical Entity if the MOA is approved. Cruz added that majority of Iligan City constituents does not want to be included in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao based from the 1989 and 2001 plebiscite.
